Public officials from every level of government can help make the Mock Election in their states’ or districts’ schools an exciting occasion for the students and their parents as well. The possibilities include participating in a candidate’s forum with students and parents, talking to students about election reform, and attending a Mock Election as the votes come in. Students who have an opportunity to meet and interact with you will have an unforgettable experience. Let them hear your positions on the issues, your plans for the future, the basics of government and how they can make their voices heard in our democracy.
